For many of these guest patients, client education is a good starting point. As far as hair care habits and practices are concerned, these should be discussed with your provider during your visit. Permanent hair treatment, weaves, braided hair styles, and treatment that involve any heat or chemicals are harmful to the hair restoration process. Generally, the provider will offer therapeutic injections with anti-inflammatory hair restoration solution and twice daily use of WFD hair serum will be recommended at home in between visits.
Cosmetic Mole Removal
It is common for a guest to visit us and request that a mole be removed from anywhere on the skin, which may have nothing to do with a medical risk. We refer to benign mole removal as a cosmetic mole removal. This includes skin tags, milia, sebaceous glands (oil glands on the face), dermatosis papulosis nigra (flesh colored moles all over the face). These are often removed after injecting numbing medicine on the surface for larger skin lesions, although sometimes spared in smaller ones. Sometimes there are so many moles removed from the face that it leads to other procedures for further refinement, like microdermabrasion.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure using a hard surface tip known as a diamond tip. The diamond tip is a diamond encrusted tip that will allow for precise execution of the treatment of hyperpigmentation and texture changes of the face. A series of 4-8 treatments along with proper WFD skincare regime will yield improved overall results. The treatment is a manual exfoliant removing layers of dead skin cells revealing soft supple skin with a polished renewed look. The skin ultimately will rejuvenate itself. This treatment will increase collagen production, blood flow, stimulates cell metabolism, diminish sun damage, fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores and coarsely textured skin.
Chemical Peel
A chemical peel is a chemical exfoliation that aides in brightening, smoothing and polishing the skin. There are different levels of peels. This can include enzyme peels, glycolic acid 30% or lower, lactic acid 30% or lower and salicylic acid. Chemical peels can improve texture of the skin, barrier function and moisture retention.
